Building a skilled AI workforce with an adequate level of AI Literacy, is vital for enabling AI innovation in businesses. Pharos will cultivate competencies by offering training, resources, and opportunities for learning, aimed at upskilling the local workforce in AI technologies and nurturing future AI talents through strong academic collaborations. Turning Greece into an AI pioneer and creating the dynamic Pharos AI Hub will allow this talent to find excellent work opportunities and give incentives to regain talented Greek expats benefiting the national innovation ecosystem.

The content of the trainings will ensure the capacity of trainees to utilize Pharos services or deliveries efficiently.

Trainings will cover all aspects of the lifecycle of an AI product, providing support for upskilling.

Pharos aims to provide startups, SMEs, researchers, and industry professionals with the essential skills, resources, and support to develop, deploy, and scale AI solutions in alignment with European values and regulations. It will provide tailored training programs, access to complementary training facilities, and activities that address the unique needs of these companies, fostering AI adoption and development in line with the goals of the EU’s AI Act.

The key Elements of Pharos Skills Plan are described below:

Customized Training Curriculum: Courses span foundational to advanced AI topics, covering technical skills, regulatory understanding, and sector-specific applications in areas such as healthcare, language, culture, and sustainability.

Flexible Delivery Formats: Training is accessible through on-demand video lessons, hands-on labs, interactive tutorials, and expert-led webinars to accommodate diverse learning preferences and schedules.

Targeted Learning Tracks:

  • Intermediate Track: Emphasizing AI model fine-tuning, data visualization, and specific industry applications.
  • Advanced Track: Covering deep learning, generative AI, reinforcement learning, and the design of large-scale AI systems.
  • Specialized Tracks: Focused on industry-specific applications (e.g., AI in healthcare) and cross-cutting themes like AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and business strategy.

Continuous Skills Assessment and Adaptation: A comprehensive Training Needs Assessment (TNA) will be conducted at project onset, with feedback mechanisms in place to ensure that training remains relevant and up-to-date with industry advancements and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration with Universities and Industry: Pharos partners with leading universities and research institutions to ensure access to top-tier AI expertise, cultivating a robust pipeline of AI talent for future needs.

Continuous Quality Assessment: A quality assessment of the training programs through a questionnaire that will be distributed to participants to provide feedback.
