PHAROS AI Factory, Greece’s national ecosystem for accelerating Artificial Intelligence innovation, participated in the #LeonteiosAI 2026: “Shaping the Future of Learning” conference, organized by the Leonteios School and held on 2 April 2026 at the National Gallery, contributing to the ongoing dialogue on the role of Artificial Intelligence in education.
The conference brought together high level representatives, including the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, D. Papastergiou, the Minister of National Economy and Finance and President of the Eurogroup, K. Pierrakakis, and the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, S. Zacharaki, as well as participants from academia, research, technology, art and education, fostering a multidisciplinary dialogue on the evolving meaning of education in the era of Artificial Intelligence.
Dr Stelios Karozis, Affiliated Researcher at the NCSR Demokritos and Deputy Technical Coordinator of PHAROS, participated in the panel discussion “The Leonteios School Framework for Artificial Intelligence”, highlighting the importance of trustworthy and human-centric AI systems.
The discussion addressed key challenges and opportunities in integrating AI into education, including early adoption, skills development and alignment with European initiatives in AI education. Within this context, PHAROS represented the Greek contribution to the wider AI Factories ecosystem.
Through its participation, PHAROS continues to support the development of innovative AI solutions, strengthening the connection between research, education and society.
