Pharos is envisioned to focus on harnessing AI technologies to address pressing challenges in the Sustainability sector and specifically in energy, environment and climate. The goal is to capitalize on all open and public datasets available at the national level, despite their fragmentation, by harmonizing the format and metadata, creating new datasets, and providing access through Pharos. All the outcomes will be AI-ready datasets, from high-resolution climate data, environmental sensors, to energy systems data. As such, Pharos will enable the development of predictive models and simulation platforms to drive sustainability across multiple sectors. The tools and service will provide ready-to-use AI tools and workflows to support SMEs, startups, and research institutions, offering scalability through containerized workloads for efficient deployment of AI models
