GRNET received an honorary distinction at the AI Report Excellences 2025 for its contribution to the development of Artificial Intelligence in Greece.

With strong representation from the public and private sectors, the academic and research community, as well as government institutions, the AI Report Excellences 2025 awards ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 15th, at the Divani Caravel Hotel, organized by MetaTeam, publisher of AI Report magazine.

GRNET was among the organizations recognized for its actions and decisive contribution to the advancement and promotion of Artificial Intelligence in Greece. The honorary distinction acknowledged:

• The development of the new national supercomputer “DAEDALOS”
  
• The implementation of the country’s first Pharos AI Factory
  
• Its overall contribution to Greece’s digital transformation, the enhancement of innovation, and the country’s emergence on the international scientific map
  

The honorary distinction was presented by Mr. Pantelis Tzortzakis, CEO of the Hellenic Defence Innovation Center (ELKAK), and received on behalf of GRNET by Stefanos Kollias, Professor Emeritus at NTUA, President of the Board of Directors of the National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET S.A.), and Coordinator of the Pharos AI Factory project.
