The 8th Health IT Conference, now a cornerstone event for the digital health sector in Greece, explored the latest developments and future prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) and health data in the country’s digital transformation. Greece stands to benefit from the opportunities offered by the European Health Data Space (EHDS), which aims to create an integrated health ecosystem through common standards, clear regulations, and shared infrastructure.
This year’s conference focused on advancing the National Health System by harnessing AI, data, and modern technologies. The goal was to foster a sustainable and innovative future for digital health in Greece through open dialogue, collaboration, and consensus-building among all stakeholders.
Key topics discussed included the integration of cutting-edge tools such as AI, as well as the secure use and exchange of health data. These advances are crucial for boosting competitiveness, promoting innovation, and facilitating cross-border cooperation, all while significantly improving service quality. The outcomes aim to enhance early diagnosis, more effective disease management, and the promotion of preventive medicine and public health across the country.
