PHAROS AI Factory, Greece’s national ecosystem for accelerating Artificial Intelligence innovation, participated in the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) 2025, held from 12-14 November 2025 in Copenhagen.
Organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) in collaboration with the European Commission, DTU – Technical University of Denmark and SDU – University of Southern Denmark, the EBDVF stands as the flagship event of Europe’s data and AI research and innovation community, bringing together leaders from industry, research, innovation and policy to shape the continent’s digital future. With “Empowering Europe’s Future with AI and Data” as its central focus, this year’s Forum underscored Europe’s ambition to harness data and Artificial Intelligence as drivers of economic growth, competitiveness and societal progress, featuring more than 40 sessions on data spaces, trustworthy AI, high-performance computing and the emerging role of AI Factories in Europe’s digital transformation.
Representing PHAROS AI Factory, Dr. D. Kanellopoulou, Researcher of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications at NCSR “DEMOKRITOS”, participated in the Forum and contributed to discussions on the evolving interplay between AI Factories, Data Labs and Data Spaces within Europe’s data-driven innovation landscape. In her intervention, she presented the PHAROS one-stop-shop service delivery strategy, designed to ensure a smooth, end-to-end customer journey, and highlighted the project’s key contributions across its three focus pillars: facilitating access to national Health Datasets, developing Dataspaces for the Greek Language and Cultural Heritage and producing harmonised datasets for Sustainability applications. Dr. Kanellopoulou also emphasised the importance of fostering national, European and international data-related synergies, which will be further catalysed through PHAROS networking and collaboration activities aimed at strengthening Europe’s position within the global data and AI ecosystem.
PHAROS’ presence at EBDVF 2025 underscored its role in driving responsible, future-ready and impactful AI innovation. By bridging research excellence, industrial capacity and policy alignment, PHAROS continues to support Greece’s and Europe’s vision for a sustainable, inclusive and data-driven digital era.
