PHAROS AI Factory at Growthfund Investor Summit 2026

PHAROS AI Factory, Greece’s national ecosystem for accelerating Artificial Intelligence innovation, was featured during the Growthfund Investor Summit 2026, organised by the Hellenic Growth Fund (Growthfund), and held on 22 June 2026 in Athens, Greece.

The Summit brought together global investors, senior policymakers, sovereign wealth funds, business leaders and technology experts to discuss the strategic forces shaping investment, digital transformation and economic growth across Greece, Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of Artificial Intelligence, deep technologies and advanced digital infrastructures in strengthening competitiveness, attracting investment and fostering long-term innovation.

PHAROS was featured as part of the panel discussion “Scaling the Future: AI, Deep Tech, Digital Infrastructure and the Capital Architecture of Innovation”, which opened with live remarks from the Lavrion Technological Cultural Park by the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, and the CEO of PHAROS S.A., Afroditi Sevasti.

During his intervention, Minister Papastergiou highlighted PHAROS AI Factory as an open hub for Artificial Intelligence, emphasising that Greece is building not only a national supercomputer but also the country’s capacity to develop, test and deploy AI solutions with a distinct Greek footprint and in line with European values and standards. He also underlined the strategic role of DAEDALUS, Greece’s new national supercomputer and the core computing platform of PHAROS, in providing advanced computing resources for universities, research centres and businesses, supporting AI model development and strengthening the country’s digital sovereignty.

Afroditi Sevasti presented the first tangible achievements of PHAROS AI Factory, announcing the availability of the first open large language model for the Greek language and the onboarding of the first users to the PHAROS platform. She highlighted knowledge, collaboration and computational capacity as the key pillars that will enable the development of AI solutions with tangible societal and economic impact.

PHAROS’ presence at the Summit reinforced its role in advancing Greece’s AI ecosystem and highlighted the country’s vision for Artificial Intelligence innovation.
